Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrival in Kalka/Chandigarh and transfer to Shimla and after taking some rest you can visit shimla mall by walk, stay overnight
Day 02 :
Shimla - Narkanda - Sangla/Chitkul

After breakfast in Shimla hotel, check-out and drive along the Hindustan-Tibet Highway towards Sangla Valley. Pass through Kufri and Narkanda, eventually reaching the picturesque villages of Sangla or Chitkul (the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border).

Stay: Hotel/Homestay in Chitkul or Sangla.

Day 03 :
Chitkul - Kalpa

Explore Chitkul village in the morning and then drive to Kalpa via Sangla.

In the evening, enjoy the stunning views of the Kinner Kailash peaks from Kalpa.

Stay: Hotel in Kalpa.

Day 04 :
Kalpa - Nako - Tabo

Proceed to Tabo, a highlight of the trip. En route, visit Nako Lake and potentially the Gue village to see the ancient preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk.

Explore the 1000-year-old Tabo Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient murals and mud architecture.

Stay: Homestay/Hotel in Tabo.

Day 05 :
Tabo - Dhankar - Kaza

Drive to Kaza, the district capital of Spiti.

En route, visit the Dhankar Monastery, perched atop a cliff overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin rivers.

Stay: Hotel/Homestay in Kaza.

Day 06 :
Kaza Local Sightseeing (Hikkim, Komic, Langza, Key, Chicham)

Spend the day exploring Kaza's iconic high-altitude villages: Langza: Known as the 'Fossil Village' and home to a large Buddha statue.

Hikkim: Home to the world's highest post office.

Komic: The world's highest village connected by a motorable road.

Key Monastery: The largest and oldest monastery in Spiti, offering panoramic views.

Chicham Bridge: Asia's highest suspension bridge.

Stay: Hotel/Homestay in Kaza.

Day 07 :
Kaza - Kunzum Pass - Chandratal Lake

Start early and drive towards Chandratal Lake, passing through Losar and the high-altitude Kunzum Pass (4,551m).

The crescent-shaped "Moon Lake" is famous for its mesmerizing beauty and starry nights.

Stay: Camp at Chandratal (basic camping with meals is standard).

Day 08 :
Chandratal - Atal Tunnel - Manali

After an early breakfast, drive to Manali via the Atal Tunnel. This day involves rugged and scenic roads.

Reach Manali by evening and relax.

Stay: Hotel in Manali.

Day 09 :
Manali to Kalka/Chandigarh Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and board your vehicle for the onward journey back to Kalka/Chandigarh.
